On Ice Training
I have been training outside of team practices since the first year of being a goalie. I always wanted to be better than all the others. To be better, I had to do tons of training. Going to camps at many goalie schools, working with coaches like Olivier Gervais from Paramount, Mitch Korn from the Washington Capitals, and the Franco Brothers at The Hill Academy. Since 2021 I am with Nathan Craze and only do private lessons as much as I can whenever I go back to Montreal.

Strength & Conditioning
I needed to be quicker, I needed to be stronger. I learned this while attending The Hill Academy. Their focus on being a student athlete taught me there is way more than training on the ice to make me a good goalie. Having a consistent training during the last 2 years in covid has been difficult. My parents converted our garage into a gym and I started training with Tanner at Junxion Performance. Now when I can't train at school, I can do my workout at home to make sure I keep my performance up.
Food tastes better when someone else makes it!
Nutrition
This is a new area for me and I am starting to see the results. My parents helped me by getting me a nutrition coach. Kyle Byron from Toronto has been working with me weekly to teach me why proper nutrition is so important to my performance. It's hard trying to always eat properly, but I am getting better at it. I eat as healthily as I can and I am working on having a good game day food routine to make sure I am fully energized for the game. Drinking water in periods 1 & 2 and only Gatorade in the 3rd has made a big impact in my energy. My favorite daily smoothie is strawberry banana protein.

Mental Strength
Coach Nathan not only trains me on the ice. He takes the time to talk with me about the things that get me mad, how I can improve my game and how to be a better team mate. It's hard not to get mad when I get scored on, but I know it is part of the game and I know that if I did everything I could, then I just needed to reset and get ready for the next shot. Keeping calm is important for me, it keeps my head clear and gives me the focus I need for the rest of the game. We win and lose as a team.

Keeping the Body in Check
My parents pushed me to listen to my body and to know when I need to ask for help. Keeping my body in great shape helps me prevent injuries and makes me feel good. I work with a chiropractor (Dr. J) and an osteopath (Collin from Junxtion Performance).
